Nijo Castle Gardens

Today we took a short trip to Nijo (long o) Castle 🏰 The main palace building was closed for renovation, and it was disrespectful to take photos in the business hall, but we got some great views of the gardens!

But first, these funny guys at the subway. Notice the little guys on the plant:

I'm a sucker for any type of pond:

And there was a little teahouse that offered great food and drinks! Plus, the floors were heated. Here is the view in the front:

Not a lot of trees are ready for fall yet, even though it's mid-December! But this tree was really vibing with fall:

PS: Koi make me laugh every time I see them do that BLOOP thing. Ahahaha silly fish.
